Educated daughters vs strong daughters: The difference

Indian government, Indian law, and pro-female organizations in that land talk about increasing education of girls and women. I get very amused at this ineffective and useless propoganda that does nothing great to help the girl child and women. This is because most women even if educated are unable to continue work, career or do entrepreneurship because their parents or in-laws or community will not allow them. So it means educate them for namesake and then make them stagnant to do caring and cooking jobs at home. In short, educate them and again throw them in the same gutter or furnace as before. Education gives them no financial independence, no autonomy, no freedom to decide for self or children. Then what is the role of education for them? Nothing. I pity the parents who think that educating a daughter makes them finish their duty towards her. They continue to rear her as a cow or sheep. How to survive the Covid-19 pandemic?: Mental and emotional well-being!

Covid-19 has taken the world like a storm and has brought almost all world operations to a halt. World economy has suffered, productivity has fallen and people are in house arrests due to lockdown. All this has affected people mentally and emotionally. Education of children is suffering and parents have a lot to worry about. How to survive all this new guidelines and movement restrictions? It is a bit difficult but not impossible. Below are some tips on it.

1. Keep a positive outlook what come may. This is important foe oneself, for family, and for the sake of kids. Try to curb all negative feelings such as phobia, fears, anxiety, and worries. Overcome them and face them boldly. Follow all precautions and it will give you comfort and confidence. 

2. Keep yourself occupied in some productive activities or hobbies such as writing, music, learning new things and the like. Whatever is available at hand, make the best use of it. Remember that idle mind is a devil's workshop. Hence do not remain idle. 

3. Stay connected. Talk to family members and good friends to get some comfort and support. 

4. Do not surf the internet more. Try to differentiate fake and real messages and do not get overly overwhelmed with the unreliable messages doing the rounds on the internet. 

5. Enjoy the time at hand with your family members. Think and live in the present and do not overthink of future. 

6. Support your loved ones. 

7. If working from home, do not overexert. Know its limitations and maintain your cool. Have proper work timings. Keep a fixed work station to work from. 

8. Have proper and adequate sleep. 

9. Exercise regularly and in sufficient amount. 

10. Seek professional help and support when necessary.
