India has broken all records in coronavirus pandemic. It is the only country in the world with more than 400k cases in a single day. And it is the only land with maximum number of deaths in 24 hours. And amidst all this, the PM and government is quiet and passive with no action. Instead of supporting the person who is making vaccine available to them, they are sending death threats to him. Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India that manufactures the covid-19 vaccine has fled to the UK to save his life.

SII makes Covishield vaccine against the current coronavirus that is taking its toll worldwide. It has been trying its level best to meet the demands of this vast land and population. But is now under intense pressure from the various states over supply of the vaccine. The CEO of the firm, Adar Poonawalla got death threats and has packed his bags and left for the UK. He revealed to media that Chief Ministers and business tycoons of the country have threatened him if they did not get their supplies of the vaccine immediately. And the central government remains mum on it. He said:
"Threats is an understatement. The level of expectation and aggression is really unprecedented. It's overwhelming. Everyone feels they should get the vaccine. They can't understand why anyone else should get it before them,"

Adar continued:
"They are saying if you don't give us the vaccine it's not going to be good. It's not foul language, it's the tone. It's the implication of what they might do if I don't comply. It's coming over and basically surrounding the place and not letting us do anything unless we give in to their demands."

Adar is in London currently. He left just in time before the UK shut its doors to flights from India. The travel bubble has burst. Adar said:
“I'm staying here (London) an extended time because I don't want to go back to that situation. Everything falls on my shoulders but I can't do it alone...I don't want to be in a situation where you are just trying to do your job, and just because you can't supply the needs of X, Y or Z you really don't want to guess what they are going to do,”
He was provided Y security which is 2 uniformed bodyguards but still his life is in danger. He also stated that his overseas move is to expand his business on foreign land including the UK. He said:
"There's going to be an announcement in the next few days,”
Adar is not the first businessman that India has lost due to their immaturity and violent nature. There are many more like him who have prospered on alien lands when their own country failed them.
