Milk in Nepal and India: the difference!

 I have observed that whenever milk ferments when I am in India, the paneer or cottage cheese does not come out easily. Even if I boil it and add lime juice to it, the cheese formed is quite little and more powdery than cheesy.  But when the same happens in Nepal, the cheese formation is immediate, dense and cheesy. I do not have to do more efforts to get cottage cheese out of the milk in Nepal. What is the reason? I checked internet and found some factors that can affect the quality and amount of cheese  1. COVID-19 has been testing humans worldwide. It has shown the world people that the WORLD IS ONE! The Year 2020 started with a bad note; that it the coronavirus pandemic! And 2021 does not seem any better! The pandemic continues to affect people and claim lives! The pandemic has taken a great surge in the USA and people are getting exhausted and so are the frontline health care workers! They have all reached a stage of emotional exhaustion along with physical fatigue! It has become difficult to deal with it!

The burden of coronavirus pandemic

The last year was a bad year for the world. People worldwide were affected due to coronavirus and many also died due to it! The burden of the pandemic does not seem to lessen and is only growing with the days! Everywhere is the same news…corona…corona…corona! There seems to be no peace or relief anywhere in the world!

People are learning new ways to go on with life! New innovative ways to work especially from home or virtually, new ways to care for children and also to educate them, new ways to remain healthy, and also connected! But all this has taken its toll on the human mind! People have reached a phase of exhaustion. This exhaustion is not only physical but also emotional because the pandemic is not abating! Responsibilities have to be carried out and it has to be done in a way that we do not contract or spread coronavirus infection! Rather a difficult task!

Experts opine on emotional and mental exhaustion

People have reached their wits’ end! They are asking: How much more can we take and have to take? Vaile Wright, senior director of health care innovation at the American Psychological Association reveals:

"Emotional exhaustion is this sense of overwhelmingness. Overwhelmed to the point where you feel like you don't have the capacity to deal anymore," 

"It's physical tiredness. It's mental tiredness. It's difficulty concentrating. It's all the things that we experience when we're just at our capacity."

Though the emotional exhaustion is not a specific clinical syndrome, it can lead to a major mental ailment. This phase of burnout needs to be tackled promptly and appropriately so that it does not progress further. The load of every day and stressors become so much that they overwhelm an individual who then feels that he or she has no energy left to perform the duties or work. The mind says that it cannot take anymore and wants some respite!!!

This happens when chronicity sets in and are common in the healthcare and law departments.

Signs of emotional exhaustion

One can know that he or she is emotionally exhausted when there is excessive irritability, frustration, nervousness, concentrating difficulties, lack of motivation to do anything, lack of focus, brain fog, a level of disconnection, lack of the sense of competency, making more errors etc.

There are associated physical fatigue, tension, headache, sleep disturbances, and stomach upsets. It reaches a state of apathy and hopelessness. Dissociation occurs and a person feels that he or she should quit or not face the problems!
