Educated daughters vs strong daughters: The difference

Image
Indian government, Indian law, and pro-female organizations in that land talk about increasing education of girls and women. I get very amused at this ineffective and useless propoganda that does nothing great to help the girl child and women. This is because most women even if educated are unable to continue work, career or do entrepreneurship because their parents or in-laws or community will not allow them. So it means educate them for namesake and then make them stagnant to do caring and cooking jobs at home. In short, educate them and again throw them in the same gutter or furnace as before. Education gives them no financial independence, no autonomy, no freedom to decide for self or children. Then what is the role of education for them? Nothing. I pity the parents who think that educating a daughter makes them finish their duty towards her. They continue to rear her as a cow or sheep. The net result is an educated women with no respect or autonomy and no space of her own. This ca...

The company gathers the market trends from all its various global offices. It also has an in-house flavors marketing team and also does field excursions to get first-hand-information from people and those in the field. Then, it puts all of these together and reaches a predictive list of flavors that would next hit the market.

At the end of 2019 and early 2020, the company reps went to Chicago and met various mixologists, mom and pop store managers, and various perfumeries to gather all the possible information and intel on which innovative ingredients and flavors would be the top in food and beverage industry.

Keera Perumbala, marketing manager at Sensient Flavors and Extracts shares:

"The flavors are pretty unique in nature, and that's by design because our customers already know what's trending today. So our goal here is to them something they can look forward to in a few years from now."

Roger Lane, another marketing manager of the company added:

"It's less about the flavors themselves and really more about the trends that are affecting consumer behavior."

"We look across the globe and identify the drivers that are motivating consumers' behavior, and then choose flavors and use those as representations of that trend."

Which are the flavors that have made it to the top list?

The analysis has revealed that oud (a raw wood scent from a parasitic tree mold on agarwood), Strega (an Italian herbal liqueur), and floral flavor Ispahan (a classic Parisian dessert with rose, raspberries, and lychee) are in the top. The information on trending about oud came from the company's global office. The firm has a boundary-pushing approach to the identification of these flavors and scents. But this innovative appraoch means that these flavors may take a time to hit the market.

Roger said:

"These flavors might not hit the market immediately or might not hit at all."

He added:

"We always tell our customers if you want a top 10 list you can google it yourself. We try to be a little bit different and be very forward-thinking."

The company is going for packaged snacks with oud flavor. They also are trying to make kombucha that is strega-flavored and white chocolate with Ispahan flavor. Strega is more bitter and hence people associate it more with medicines. Keera said:

"These three flavors are adventurous and conversation-worthy."
