Couples come together for a common purpose. They bear children and start parenting them. But at times, they may grow apart and not want to remain a couple. They may want to separate. But society and law often prevents this separation. Because they feel that children might get affected due to the separation. Hence, law has made divorce difficult and asks couples the reason for the separation. They need to show some fault in the partner in order to get legal separation. But this only opens another Pandora's box in which false accusations and blame game begins. This is unhealthy and stressful not only for the couple but also for their children.  Hollywood is a great place to be in. The celebrity status is a powerful one but also a very fragile status. Hollywood can make and break people. The celebrity power can also have an impact on one's psychological and emotional condition and this could also indirectly affect the celebrity status and duration. Chris D'elia was a great comedian in his early days. He was a highly talented person and even Justin Bieber was his fan. He had a largen number of followers and people who adored him. His career as a standup comedian was great. He was considered the comedian of comedians. Additionally, he was also getting some good roles in the acting field. His work was also praised. He had appeared in sitcoms such as Whitney and Undateable. He also got work in some popular shows such as The Good Doctor and also in You. He was in several episodes of these shows.

Chris also got some hosting jobs. He was the host of the successful podcast called Congratulations with Chris D'elia. He amassed a lot of wealth with such great-going jobs. His net worth was estimated to be around $ 16 million in early 2020. 

Sexual accusations on Chris D'elia

In mid-2020, problems in Chris' career started emerging. A woman called Simone Rossi tweeted that in the year 2014, Chris had emailed to her and asked for her pic. She added that they chatted for many months and later Chris asked her to make out with him. She shared screenshots of the messages that she and Chris had exchanged between them. Asking a stranger for a pic is creepy but the added complication was that Simone at that time in the year 2014 was a minor and only 16 years old.

Later, several women came forward to narrate their own experiences with Chris. There were some disturbing allegations as well. These were also criminal in nature. He had asked for naked photos from minors. He was also accused of grooming and harassment. An actress also told CNN that Chris had exposed and pleasured himself in her car despite her not approving or soliciting it.

Chris' reply to the accusations and net worth

The actor put up a statement: 

“I know I have said and done things that might have offended people during my career, but I have never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point. I have never met or exchanged any inappropriate photos with the people who have tweeted about me.”

He apologized for being a dumb guy and allowing himself to be caught in his lifestyle. But this statement and apology did not help him and his career took a downfall. Netflix dropped him form their show and he also lost a role in an upcoming Zack Synder film. His standup gigs also shrunk.
